If at the time of delivery or collection, you find that the item is damaged, expired or incorrect, please alert the service personnel immediately for an exchange. Items must be returned in their unused condition and original packaging.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer or to Kuriya Japanese Market retail stores.



Kuriya Japanese Market (“KJM”) offers full or partial refunds at its own discretion in situations where:

- The product in question is no longer available or is not in stock at the moment.

- In the event where the product bought is not available, a suitable replacement cannot be found or does not satisfy the customer’s expectations.

- The product no longer fits a season/event such as but not limited to festive holidays due to either

  1. Delivery mishap by KJM
  2. Delay due to product unavailability
  3. Damaged products made known upon inspection at delivery or collection

If your refund is approved, it will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied depending on your original method of payment within 5 working days. Credit card refunds will be sent to the card-issuing bank within five (5) business days.


Late or missing refunds

If you have not received your refund by 5 business days, please contact the card-issuing bank about when the credit will be posted to your account. There is often some processing time before your refund is posted.


Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.



Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.
